Ol' Scholz, Germany's Chancellor, Coughs Up Coronavirus
Germany's chieftain in charge, Olaf Scholz, has fallen prey to the wrath of corona. "My recent Covid-19 tests show two stripes," the SPD bigwig tweeted on a Monday. "With few symptoms, I'm banking on a gentle recovery and dabbling in desktop duty for now." Scholz expressed that this diagnosis was no shocker.
Steffen Hebestreit, ol' chum of Scholz, confirmed ol' Scholz was bunkering down in his office, attending video conferences, and whatnot. "He's wishin' for a speedy heal," Hebestreit sprayed. The Chancellor had no intention of attendin' public affairs on a Monday and Tuesday. The planned visit of Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico for Tuesday got the axe, Hebestreit declared. If not physically present, Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens) would man the cabinet meeting chat.
