Championship preparations include arranging five ceremonies by the League
New Article:
The freshly appointed president of LPFP, Reinaldo Teixeira, intends to catch the titles of the 91st I League edition's winner, either Sporting at José Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon or Benfica at Sporting de Braga's home turf, provided he attends the central region's matches.
As per sources, the LPFP executive board will be present at all pivotal games determining titles, with the champion's trophy anticipated to be handed over by Reinaldo Teixeira on Saturday, following the derby's conclusion, both games scheduled for 18:00.
Sporting and Benfica stand at identical 79 points, with 'leões' enjoying the advantage in head-to-head encounters, necessitating a tie or superior result against Vitória de Guimarães over Benfica's result against Sporting de Braga.
Friday plans incorporate three ceremonies for II League decisions, based on the same source, which added that logistical constraints may prevent Reinaldo Teixeira's attendance if Vizela, in Madeira, claim the second-tier title. Otherwise, if Tondela or Alverca win, Reinaldo Teixeira will be present at the upcoming champion's coronation, following games scheduled for 20:30.
At this hour, Vizela, third with 59 points, visits Marítimo, while Tondela competes at União de Leiria's field, and Alverca receives Portimonense.
From the three candidates for promotion, only Tondela has previously clinched the second tier's title, in 2014/15, when they first made the I League.
It's worth noting that while details about the I League in reference to this competition are scant, the teams involved are notably associated with the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Despite his focus on the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Reinaldo Teixeira has expressed interest in European sports frameworks, mentioning his aspiration to witness the Premier League and European-leagues action someday, not just the domestic competitions. However, should his team secure the I League title this season, he won't be found watching European football, as he won't attend the II League ceremonies due to logistical constraints, even if Vizela, Tondela, or Alverca win.
