Championship odds, underdogs, and predictions for the Open de France in 2025
In the upcoming Open de France, set to take place from September 18 to 21, Jordan Smith and Harry Hall are among the favourites to win the tournament. The event, which is part of the DP World Tour, will be held at the Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Breteche near Paris, France.
The course, established in 1959, boasts a par of 71 and a yardage of 6,977. This wide-open field presents an opportunity for Smith to claim a win, given his reputation as one of the most accurate players and best ball-strikers on the DP World Tour.
Hall, the outright favourite according to BetMGM, has been in excellent form recently, with multiple top-10 finishes in big tournaments. He has also shown his prowess in approach play and accuracy, qualities that could prove crucial on the challenging course.
Joining Smith and Hall are Min Woo Lee, Adrien Saddier, and Frenchman Adrien Saddier (tipped by Golf Monthly betting expert Baz Plummer). Saddier, who reached the playoff of the BMW PGA Championship 2025 at Wentworth, finished as runner-up after a tight contest against Alex Noren. The victory was decided only in the playoff, demonstrating Saddier's resilience and consistency.
Another contender is Corey Conners, who is not far behind Hall in the odds, also according to BetMGM. Conners' strengths lie in accuracy and excellent approach play, making him a formidable competitor.
The defending champion, Dan Bradbury, and another former winner, Guido Migliozzi, are also in the field. However, neither player is among the favourites to win this time around. Migliozzi, a former French Open winner and DP World Tour winner, has started to re-find his form, making his last four cuts and securing a T13th finish at the Omega European Masters.
Some PGA Tour players are also participating in the event, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition. Among these are Sergio Garcia, Ludvig Aberg, Laurie Canter, Tommy Fleetwood, Joaquin Niemann, Tyrrell Hatton, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Rory McIlroy, who are predicted to win various events in 2025 by Golf Monthly staff members.
Angel Ayora, with multiple top-10 finishes in recent big tournaments, is another player to watch out for.
The Open de France will be broadcast in the UK/BST on Sky Sports Golf, and in the US/ET on Golf Channel and NBC Sports App. This promises to be an exciting tournament, with a host of talented players vying for the coveted title.
