September has been an exciting month for gamers, with a host of challenging titles like Silksong, Chronos: The New Dawn, and Borderlands 4 causing a stir. But this weekend, gamers are looking to overcome steep challenges, and we've rounded up three games that require fast reflexes and a keen eye to overcome, in different ways.

First up is Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, a single-player experience that launched on September 17, 2025, for Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. It's also available via Xbox Game Pass, although there's no specific mention of availability for Xbox One, suggesting it's currently not available on that platform. The game features randomly generated maps, procedurally generated missions, and thousands of aliens to fight. With an isometric camera angle, similar to Vampire Survivors, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor offers a unique and engaging experience.

Next, we have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Despite its campaign being subpar and not particularly difficult, the multiplayer is still a blast. Available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer has a grounded feel, with tight gunplay and some of the all-time best maps. The omni-movement system introduced in Black Ops 6 is not present in Modern Warfare 3, which some players may find refreshing.

Lastly, we can't forget about Hades, the beloved indie game that's back on the service, hinting at the possible Xbox release of Hades 2. While we don't have a release date for Hades 2 yet, we know it's coming to Switch 2, Switch, and PC. Hades is a challenging game that requires quick reflexes and a keen eye to overcome its challenges, but in a different way.

So, whether you're in the mood for a single-player challenge, a multiplayer blast from the past, or a sneak peek at the upcoming Hades 2, these three games are sure to test your skills and keep you entertained this weekend. Challenge is a key ingredient for a compelling game, and these titles certainly deliver on that front. Happy gaming!
