Chaevi's $5.5M Deal Brings 1,000 EV Chargers to Dubai by 2026
South Korean EV charger manufacturer Chaevi has signed a major deal with Dubai-based Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC. The partnership, valued at US$ 5.5 million, will bring 1,000 new charging stations to the UAE over the next two years. Both companies aim to expand the region's electric vehicle infrastructure with this collaboration. Chaevi, a leading EV charger producer in South Korea, has already installed over 10,000 chargers in its home market. Globally, the company has deployed more than 500,000 charging stations, primarily in China, the US, and Europe. Its products are also exported to Southeast Asia and other regions.
The new agreement will see Chaevi supply a variety of chargers, ranging from 11 kW to 100 kW, for installation in key Dubai locations. Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC, part of Al Rostamani Group, holds the UAE's only private CPO (Charge Point Operator) business licence. This makes it the sole private company authorised to operate such a network in the country. Chaevi is also preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) on South Korea's Kosdaq stock exchange. The company plans further expansion into India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America by the end of 2026.
The two-year deal will add 1,000 chargers to Dubai's infrastructure. Chaevi's technology will support faster adoption of electric vehicles in the UAE. Meanwhile, the company continues its global growth, with an upcoming IPO and plans to enter new markets by 2026.
