Gladbach loans Cvancara to Celtic Glasgow - Celtic secures Čvančara on loan with permanent buy option
Celtic Glasgow has signed striker Tomáš Čvančara on loan for the rest of the 2025/26 season. The deal follows his early exit from a loan spell at Antalyaspor. The Scottish club also secured an option to buy him permanently.
Čvančara moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2023 for around €10 million. His transfer came after a strong spell at Sparta Prague. However, his time at Antalyaspor ended before the planned duration.
Celtic stepped in quickly to bring him to Glasgow. The agreement covers the remainder of the current campaign. If the loan proves successful, the club can trigger a permanent deal.
The striker now joins Celtic’s squad for the second half of the season. His arrival adds depth to their attacking options. The final decision on a long-term move will depend on his performances in the coming months.
