Celebrity performer from X Factor and The Voice ties the knot in opulent wedding, drawing praise from fellow celebrities on the joyous occasion.
In a beautiful ceremony held at The Savoy Hotel in London, Lydia Lucy, the talented singer who gained fame from participating in X-Factor 2013 and the fifth season of The Voice UK, exchanged vows with her partner, Tommy Watson.
The wedding was a star-studded affair, with many familiar faces in attendance. Lydia first made her mark on reality TV by auditioning for the fifth series of The Voice UK, impressing the judges with her rendition of Jessie J's hit "Mamma Knows Best." Her performance at Wembley Arena during the live shows, where she sang Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel," left the audience spellbound.
Lydia's journey in the entertainment industry didn't end with reality TV. Post-X Factor, she supported the Black Eyed Peas singer on his tour and later sang with the group without Fergie. After being mentored by Will i.am, she was his last surviving act in the competition and ended up in fourth place.
The happy couple welcomed their baby girl, Dottie-May, in 2021. Lydia shared a picture from the wedding, writing "The new Mr & Mrs." on social media. The picture received heartwarming messages from friends and fans, including Towie star Chloe Brockett who commented, "Stunning Lydia," and Scarlett Moffatt who wrote, "So beautiful. Huge congratulations xxx." Chloe Crowhurst also added, "Congratulations beautiful."
Since then, Lydia Lucy has been regularly performing at weddings and events, mostly for well-known faces. Following the wedding, the newlyweds spent a few days at the luxury hotel, enjoying the spa and delicious food.
However, Lydia's journey to motherhood was not without its challenges. She had a heartbreaking miscarriage the year before Dottie-May's birth. Despite this, Lydia has remained strong and resilient, using her music to express her emotions and connect with her audience.
As Lydia Lucy and Tommy Watson embark on this new chapter of their lives, we wish them all the happiness and success in the world.
