Famous Television Personality Aspires to Master Martial Arts - Celebrity aims for mastery in martial arts
Filip Pavlovic, the former reality TV star and 2022 Dschungelkönig (Jungle King), is making a bold career move by venturing into the world of combat sports. The 31-year-old, who was once at home in trashy TV formats, has announced his intentions to become a combat sports star.
In a recent conversation with RTL, Pavlovic revealed that he plans to start his boxing career and has larger ambitions in combat sports. His debut boxing match is scheduled for October 18 at Fame Fighting 3 in Essen, Germany.
Pavlovic's foray into combat sports is not a sudden decision. He demonstrated his fighting talent approximately five years ago in a celebrity boxing match, where he knocked out Paul Janke within 90 seconds. This bout took place on Sat.1's "Promiboxen."
If successful in the ring, Pavlovic aims to prepare for MMA competitions, particularly with the new Croatian MMA series FMC coming to Germany next year. There is speculation that this move might be for a TV show, but Pavlovic has not confirmed this.
Pavlovic's focus is on physical and mental growth through rigorous training, marking a significant shift away from television hosting and reality formats. His aim is to test himself initially in the boxing ring and then progress to MMA.
This career shift marks a dedicated new chapter for Pavlovic, who was crowned Jungle King in 2022. He teased that he will be entering the boxing ring soon, but the specific date for his debut has not been disclosed.
Pavlovic's ambition to move from boxing to MMA, aligns with upcoming opportunities in the combat sports arena. His potential involvement in FMC, a Croatian MMA series, coming to Germany next year, further underscores his commitment to this new path.

"I'm not gonna be able to tell if Filip Pavlovic's move into combat sports is for a TV show or a genuine career change, as he hasn't confirmed the speculation. However, his intentions to start with boxing and then possibly progress to mixed-martial-arts are clear, as he prepares for his debut boxing match in October and is excited about the upcoming opportunities in MMA, particularly with FMC."
"Considering his past success in boxing and his eagerness to push himself further, it seems likely that Filip Pavlovic is serious about becoming a combat sports star, but whether he'll be able to handle the rigors of mixed-martial-arts remains to be seen."
