Celebratory mood in Oppum as Schützler-Drummer-Corps marks a century-long existence! Let's party!

The Schützen drum corps, a prestigious musical ensemble based in Krefeld, is set to host the city's grand military tattoo during their centennial anniversary year. With a rich history dating back to 1921, the corps is a significant part of the local community, boasting a strong presence of 29 active, 12 youth, and 24 passive musicians.

Under the leadership of King Uwe Bloser and Queen Veronika Bloser-Küsters, the Schützen drum corps will be the centre of attention during the anniversary weekend, with the military tattoo taking place in Oppum. The music celebration is scheduled to commence on September 14 at 11 am and continue until around 5 pm.

On a separate note, the Oppumer Schützen drum corps' anniversary party on September 13 will be co-hosted by the DJ team "Die Musicbox". The event will also feature a "Silent Party" with individually adjustable headphones, adding a modern twist to the traditional celebration.
