Celebratory gunfire echoes through Lierenfeld, Düsseldorf, accompanied by live music and festivities

Last year, the Lierenfeld Marksmen welcomed the Black Feathers to their festival tent, marking the 100th anniversary of the shooting festival. The event was filled with excitement and camaraderie, culminating in a spectacular finale on Saturday night.

DJ Ralle and the Ball of the Kings, featuring May Weyers' performance, brought the crowd to their feet, wrapping up a thrilling weekend. The festivities began earlier in the day, with the program starting in the afternoon.

The parade on Sunday was a highlight, with Sven Ratzel and Angelina Seidler crowned as the Shooter King and Queen pair, while Christoph Groß and Lea Mohr took the titles as the Junior Shooter King and Queen pair. The parade also saw the participation of shooting chief Wolfgang Liembd and his wife Appolonia.

On Monday, the festival reached its climax with the coronation of the new Regiment King, Heiko Jurgasch, and the grand tattoo. Heiko, a participant in the competition for the title of Regiment King, was visibly overjoyed upon winning, with his wife Carmen sharing in the joy.

The competition saw twelve candidates vying for the prestigious titles, with Heiko Jurgasch ultimately emerging victorious. Paulina Exner from Society Lützow 1956 was also crowned the Page Queen.

The Cologne-based band took to the stage in the festival tent on Friday evening, adding to the festive atmosphere. Photos from the event can be ordered from the gallery, with picture numbers serving as the reference. A donation is appreciated when ordering photos.
