Champion Crowned at Nauryz Cup 2018 at Poker Club "Alma City"
The four-day-long Nauryz Cup poker tournament at Poker Club "Alma City" concluded on the final day, March 23. Initially, a buy-in of 75K tenge attracted 259 entries, surpassing the 10 million tenge guarantee and nearly reaching 17 million.
The tournament began with 26 players remaining, each securing at least 185K tenge. As play progressed, several notable participants exited the competition, including Bekturgan Raimbekov, Rakhimzhanov Darhan, Arman Sh., Abat Kulmagambetov, Zhambolat Zhumatov, Umarbek Omarali, Aidos Bisariev, and Bauyr.
The field was then reduced to 18 players, and the elimination continued with the following players: Vladimir Bauer, Teipjan, Jean K., Ernat Tumanshiev, Azamat Bektleuov, Bekzat Absentov, Yana Fedenkova, and Leonid K.
The final table lineup consisted of:
- Aidos Ibragimov
- Stanislav Zhylyayev
- Andrey Khakimov
- Asyl Tleujhanov
As the final four negotiated a deal, each player walked away with the following payouts:
- Jenis, Mikhail, and Asyl: 2.3 million tenge each
- Sanjar (chip leader): 2.6 million tenge
The trophy, however, remained undecided. In a unanimous decision, it was awarded to Asyl Tleujhanov as the most talented and unstoppable among the final four.
