Join the Langern Volunteer Firefighters in Werne, Germany, as they celebrate their 105th anniversary on the 27th and 28th of June. This two-day event promises a mix of official ceremonies, firefighting demonstrations, competitions, and family-friendly activities.

On Saturday, groups from all units of Werne's fire department will compete for the traveling trophy. The award ceremony will take place at 7:30 PM in the festival tent in front of the fire station, with Mayor Lothar Christ in attendance. DJ Andreas Büscher will provide the music for the subsequent party.

On Friday, a grill evening is being held starting at 6 PM, which was started two years ago to strengthen the sense of community in the area. On Saturday, the Langern Volunteer Fire Department will offer coffee, home-baked cake, a drinks stand, and a food truck. A bouncy castle will be available for children on Saturday.

The celebration is taking place around the fire station on Osticker Berg, and all units of Werne's fire department, as well as friendly units from Wethmar, Cappenberg, and Südkirchen, are invited to participate. The planned celebrations for their 100th anniversary five years ago were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
