Secretary's Day, a day dedicated to celebrating and appreciating the hard work of secretaries, has an interesting history. Despite its intention to congratulate, reward, and give something nice, the day is often observed in a more formal manner. The idea originated from a union of office managers from Russian million-cities, supported by the electronic journal "Secretary". It is celebrated in many countries on the third Friday of September each year, with its counterpart, World Secretary Day, celebrated on the Wednesday of the last week of April.

Meanwhile, the world of military technology has seen its fair share of revolutions. One of the most notable occurred during the early modern period, influencing the concept of a military revolution by M. Roberts. This period saw the development of artillery and handheld firearms, innovations in tactics, new fortification approaches, and the creation of larger, more professional armies. Key nations involved in recent arms technology developments include the United States, with the F-35 fighter jet and advanced missile defense systems, Russia with the S-400 air defense system and T-14 Armata tank, China with the J-20 stealth fighter and DF-41 ICBM, Israel with the Iron Dome missile defense system, and Germany with the Leopard 2 tank and Eurofighter Typhoon.

The cost of modern weapons systems, such as tanks, aircraft, and warships, is significantly higher than traditional weapons. For instance, the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier cost around $13 billion for construction, plus an additional $5 billion for related R&D. In contrast, Russian ballistic missile submarines of project 955/955A are estimated to cost no more than $0.5 billion.

The production of arms is an ancient and respectable profession, but it's not just about the hardware. Successes in the field have significantly influenced the creation and development of states.

On a lighter note, Mood Walking Day emphasizes the benefits of walking for emotional well-being. It suggests that going outside for a walk can help push away bad emotions and promote focus. Unlike Secretary's Day and World Secretary Day, Mood Walking Day does not specify any particular method or route for walking, simply emphasizing the act of going outside for emotional well-being.

In a similar vein, the Carnegie Mellon University professor Scott Fahlman proposed using a colon, a dash, and a closing parenthesis to represent a smiling face on September 19, 1982. Since then, the number of smileys has greatly increased and they have become extremely widespread, used to mimic voice intonations and facial expressions.

Lastly, the road is described as washing away unnecessary nonsense from one's head and helping to feel a pleasant feeling of honest tiredness. Similarly, the impressions from changing the lighting at the nearest city intersection are compared to Monet's water lilies. The world, it seems, is much richer, nicer, and better when one turns towards it and tries to feel it.
