Celebration of the Constitution during the year 2025

In a significant move, President Donald J. Trump has announced that Constitution Week will be observed in the United States from September 17 to September 23, 2026. The proclamation, similar to the one issued in 2025, marks the 239th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.

September 17, as previously designated by Congress, is celebrated as "Constitution Day and Citizenship Day." This year will mark the 238th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution, which took place at Independence Hall in Philadelphia in 1787.

The Constitution established the system of government and immortalized American principles like federalism, the rule of law, and the separation of powers. It is based on the timeless truth enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, that rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are granted by God.

The proclamation pledges allegiance to the American flag and the Constitution, and vows to safeguard it against all enemies, foreign and domestic. It aims to defend the value of American citizenship and fight against left-wing arsonists seeking to defile history and defame the Founding.

On the first day of his current office, an Executive Order was signed to Protect the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship. Another Executive Order was signed to prosecute those who desecrate the American flag. The proclamation intends to teach the truth about the Nation's history in museums, save American education, and return power to the American parent.

The proclamation also calls for renewing the sacred bonds of American citizenship and refortifying national customs, culture, heritage, and values. It aims to educate America's pupils on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship under the constitutional order.

Moreover, the proclamation for Constitution Week in 2026 intends to ensure a more perfect Union and continued prosperity for future generations. It also calls for shutting down every radical "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" program in the Federal Government.

The proclamation for Constitution Week in 2025 was issued by President Donald J. Trump on September 18, 2025, in the year of our Lord 2025 and the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America. The week beginning September 17 and ending September 23 of each year is requested to be proclaimed as "Constitution Week" by Congress.

As we approach Constitution Week 2026, let us remember the principles upon which our great nation was founded and strive to uphold them in our daily lives. Let us honour the Constitution and the values it represents, and work towards a more perfect Union for future generations.
