"Celebration of Pride isn't merely a festive event, but serves as a political podium."

Torino Pride: Beyond the Rainbows and Confetti

Luca Minici, the brains behind Torino Pride, spills the beans. "Past the colorful spectacle and music, there's a vibrant community on a mission. We're not just here to party; we're fighting for recognition, rights, and acceptance," he says.

Get ready for a spectra of updates on June 7th in Turin. Adopting the Orders of Journalists and Doctors, boosting accessibility efforts, and the return of Torinosette's float – all these and more are in store. The latter will sail with our journalists, making a powerful statement in support of the "Love is good news" cause.

What's the message behind the slogan "No bodies left behind" for Torino Pride 2025? It's about challenging bellicose imagery and responding to attacks with visibility, subjectivity, and pride, says Minici. "We're not about violence, but adventure and bravery. We want everyone to know they have a place in our fight for acceptance."

So, what does the Order of Journalists of Piedmont's involvement signify? It's more than just a gesture – it's the fruit of discussions, training sessions, and meetings aimed at creating a Code of Ethics for LGBTQIA+ themes. Journalists will learn to be more mindful of their word choices, avoiding toxic narratives that can inflict harm.

When it comes to accessibility, Torino Pride is taking concrete steps to ensure everyone feels included. "We're making our events more accessible, from wheelchair-friendly venues to sign language interpretation and family-focused activities," Minici explains.

This year, BigMama will grace the stage at Torino Pride. Why was she chosen? "BigMama is a powerful voice, vociferous in her advocacy for inclusivity and social justice. We want our audience to be inspired and educated about LGBTQIA+ issues," Minici says.

With 20 years of Torino Pride coming up in 2026 and EuroPride 2027 on the horizon, the team has big plans. "We want Turin to become a beacon of rights, setting an example for others to follow. Pride is our megaphone, and it's time we raise it higher," Minici concludes.

The road ahead? Greater community engagement, innovative events, international collaboration, and legacy projects. "Our mission is to ensure that our efforts transcend the Pride celebrations, leaving a lasting impact on our community and beyond," Minici adds.
