In the heart of Bavaria, from June 6th to the 15th, the vibrant city of Ingolstadt transforms as it welcomes the Whitsun Folk Festival. Situated at Dreizehnerstraße, this annual event promises a jam-packed festival grounds filled with over 68 amusement rides and stalls.
Kicking off the festivities will be the "Eslarner Blasmusik," performing at 5:30 PM in front of the Herrnbrau family's festival tent. The occasion will officially commence with Mayor Michael Kern's traditional keg tapping at 6 PM, marking the start of the two-week extravaganza.
Get ready to experience thrill and excitement with the Airborne, the largest propeller ride in the republic. Boasting high-speed rotation and centrifugal force, it offers an exhilarating ride with four times the force of gravity. Similarly, the renowned classic, "Mr. Gravity," will take visitors on a dizzying spin in gondolas arranged in a circle, reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.
Families with young children can indulge in the magical Ariel-themed carousel, where little boats dance effortlessly around a water channel. For shared family fun, be sure to check out the fog room and mirror maze in the Chaos Airport.
While not to be missed, the Movie Star Ferris wheel offers a tranquil respite, providing breathtaking views of the city from its 48-meter height.
Delight in delicious food and beverages at the festival tent's beer garden operated by the Herrnbrau family. A variety of musical performances and a special festival beer await visitors every day, along with lunch options.

On June 10th and 11th, the Senior and Family Afternoons promise entertainment for all ages. Fridays showcase delightful fireworks displays starting at 22:30, filling the sky with a colorful spectacle.
Pink Monday, on June 9th, marks a first for this year's festival, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community with live music, dance, and chart hits by the band "Get That."
The town's cultural highlight, the 100th anniversary of the Donaugau Trachten Association, will be celebrated with performances and parades on June 7th.
Festival-goers can enjoy the attractions from 3 PM on the opening day, with daily operating hours until midnight from Monday to Saturday. Sunday hours remain open until midnight, with the market closing earlier at 8 PM.
