Get ready for a thrilling experience as Pokémon UNITE, the popular free-to-start 5-on-5 team battle game, celebrates its third anniversary! The special event runs from now until August 11 at 4:59 p.m. PT.

During this exciting period, players can immerse themselves in anniversary goodies and festivities. The game offers strategic Unite Moves and allows players to customize their Pokémon with Holowear.

Anniversary Events and Goodies

The celebrations include several special events, discounted items, and new Pokémon-related content. For instance, the Anniversary Cake Challenge encourages players to complete missions to collect Frosting, which builds layers of a cake for rewards including Aeos Tickets, stickers, enhancers, and dice.

Moreover, a limited-time Bargain Shop Event offers items such as Unite licenses, Holowears, and more at discounted prices. The anniversary also brings new battle modes and features, including the addition of a new "First to 500" battle type and the return of Remoat Stadium in ranked matches.

New Pokémon Additions

During the anniversary timeframe, Suicune was added to Aeos Island. Later on, Latios and Latias joined the game. However, Ho-Oh and Charizard were not specifically introduced as Unite licenses as part of these celebrations.

Ho-Oh and Charizard Licenses

While Ho-Oh appears in a special event context, no direct official release or availability of Ho-Oh's or Charizard's Unite licenses was revealed as part of the third anniversary events. Charizard licensing was not mentioned during this period.

Later announcements did not specify Charizard or Ho-Oh as new unlockable licenses. Instead, they focused on other Mega Evolution-related licenses and new Pokémon like Latios and Latias.

Looking Ahead

If you're eager to get your hands on Ho-Oh or Charizard licenses, they may be part of future events or updates beyond the third anniversary. Stay tuned for more updates at https://unite.pokemon.com or in the game.

Remember, persistent Internet and a compatible smartphone are required to play Pokémon UNITE. Data charges may apply. To download the game, visit Nintendo.com or the Nintendo eShop on your device. Happy battling, trainers!
