Thousands upon thousands of runners, hailing from a mind-boggling 30 different nations, descended upon Astana city for this exhilarating sporting event. Breaking previous records, this capital-held tournament saw an unprecedented participation that left spectators and participants alike in awe.

Among the myriad participants were some familiar faces - notable athletes such as Kazakhstani skiers Nadya Stepanishina and Nailed Bashmakov, who graced the event with their presence.

Considering the high competition, the winners surpassed expectations and claimed their well-deserved titles. Rahimzhan Kelmanov emerged victorious in the men's 10 km race, while Victoria Sergeeva clinched the women's. In the longer 21.9 km race, Vitaliy Shafar stood as the dominant male runner, with Dana Aidosova securing the female title.

Among the jubilant winners, Ukrainian runner Vitaliy Shafar couldn't help but share his positive impressions. Having competed in the 2012 Olympic Games, placing 29th in the grueling marathon, and recently finishing second in the Kyrgyzstan half marathon, this triumph at the Astana tournament merely added to his accomplished career.

"I always set my sights on the win," Vitaliy shared, "and today, I accomplished that very goal. I cannot help but commend the exceptional organization of the race."
