"Celebrate the Season with Megaforce at Summer Savior Festival"
In the face of the ongoing Corona crisis, Megaforce, a specialist in stage construction, event construction, and special constructions, has initiated a unique project called "Save the Summer". This initiative aims to support artists and bands by providing them with an open stage for recording performances.
The "Save the Summer" project offers a platform for artists to continue performing, despite limitations on live, in-person concerts. The project supports musicians by facilitating alternative ways to reach their fans, such as through online shows, live streams, or other innovative performance formats that comply with health regulations while keeping the music scene vibrant.
The setting of the "Save the Summer" project resembles a real festival, with a 10x5 meter video wall, light and sound arrangements, and an open-air backdrop. The first performance was by the Berlin scene band "What's next?". Since then, more than 20 artists have taken the opportunity to present themselves to their fans on the Megaforce Open Stage, including "Danny & The Boys", "De Corazòn", "Classic Brothers", and "Asrael". The "Classic Brothers" were the latest to perform.
Megaforce is taking a political and social stand by hanging flags of non-profit associations or public figures on the stage during each recording. For example, Lara Teschers from the water initiative "Viva con Agua" recently handed over the flag "WATER IS A HUMAN RIGHT", while Celine Kühnel from EPS handed over the flag "PINK IT" for the action "Awareness of Breast Cancer". In response to the current political unrest following the death of George Floyd, the flag "UNITE AGAINST RACISM" was handed over, followed by "COMMON AGAINST RACISM" the next day.
The live recordings from the "Save the Summer" project will be released on the "Save the summer" channel on Vimeo, where they can be viewed as a stream. The pictures of the "Save the Summer" project are taken by Megaforce themselves. The recordings are made in the best possible picture and sound quality to ensure an unforgettable souvenir of the surreal corona times, with the recordings intended to reflect the special situation in which the bands play despite all the adversities.
The "Save the Summer" channel on Vimeo will continue to host live recordings from the project, offering fans a chance to connect with their favourite artists and enjoy live music in these challenging times. The "Save the Summer" project is a unique opportunity for artists to perform and create unforgettable souvenirs of the surreal corona times.
Fans can continue enjoying live music performances from their favorite artists as the "Save the Summer" project offers innovative ways for musicians to interact with their audiences, such as online shows, live streams, or performances on the Megaforce Open Stage. This platform, equipped with a 10x5 meter video wall, light and sound arrangements, and an open-air backdrop, also serves as a platform for artists to advocate for various social causes, as evidenced by the flags of non-profit associations or public figures displayed during each recording, like the "OUT NOW – REACT NOW" flag related to the Black Lives Matter movement.
