The event, which concluded on August 25, featured a mix of collegiate teams from various locations, including Manila, Cebu Province, Ormoc, Tacloban, and Bohol.

The tournament marked the beginning of the basketball season for many teams, serving as a key tune-up before the UAAP season. Among the teams that participated were Adamson University, Perpetual Altas, and University of San Carlos (USC), with Adamson University emerging as the champions. The Perpetual Altas secured third place by defeating USC.

The event also served as a platform for promoting sports tourism, attracting teams from different regions to Cebu. Rocky Alcoseba, the commissioner of the tournament, emphasized the importance of this aspect, stating that the event helped promote Cebu as a sports tourism destination.

In addition to the collegiate games, the tournament also featured the G-Hoops Season 1 tournament, which was aimed at providing consistent exposure to high-level competition for young players. Alcoseba, who is also the co-founder of G-Hoops, highlighted that the integration of G-Hoops into the week-long basketball showcase was part of his vision to offer a mix of grassroots and elite collegiate action for basketball fans in Cebu.

The 15-under category featured more than 20 teams, including Guadalupe Guardians, OCCCI Sheer Masters, Young Ballers Club, Apas National High School Falcons, WLC Baby Mustangs, CKBA, Coach Ed's One-on-One Basketball, Gothong Black Stallions, AVC Law Arkins, Youth Basketball Skills Development, Abellana Chiefs, and many more.

The tournament schedule for Manila teams was not publicly detailed, but three teams from Manila, University of Perpetual Help Delta System Altas, St. Benilde College, and Adamson University Soaring Falcons, were among the participants. Games involving Manila-based teams commenced on August 21.

The first game of the tournament was between the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars, which was scheduled for 8 p.m. Local teams from Abellana National School and Gothong High School also joined the tournament.
