CCB’s new Performing Arts director to be unveiled amid high expectations

The Belém Cultural Centre (CCB) is set to reveal the new Artistic Director for its Performing Arts division by mid-month. The social security administration is currently scrutinising the shortlist of candidates, with Pedro Adão e Silva being one of the notable names.

The appointment process has been subject to some controversy, particularly due to the previous role of former Culture Minister Dalila Rodrigues. However, the focus now is on the candidates who have made it to the final round.

Pedro Adão e Silva, a prominent figure in the Portuguese arts scene, has been tipped as a strong contender. His inclusion in the list comes after a thorough evaluation of his leadership skills and artistic vision. The final decision, however, remains with the CCB's administration.

The announcement of the new Artistic Director is eagerly awaited, as it will shape the future of the Performing Arts at the CCB. The chosen candidate will be expected to bring fresh ideas and drive the centre's artistic direction forward.
