Damon Albarn and Gorillaz took the stage last night at London's Wembley Arena for the "Together For Palestine" concert, marking the first live performance of several new songs from their upcoming ninth studio album, 'The Mountain'.

The tour will visit Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast, and London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next year. The UK arena tour was announced following the successful charity event, which raised nearly £1.5million for charities helping the people of Gaza.

At the London show, Albarn was joined by the London Arab Orchestra, Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def), and Syrian singer Omar Souleyman for a performance of a brand new song called 'Damascus'. This collaboration resulted in a medley of Palestinian traditional songs.

'Damascus' was the first ever preview of a song that will be featured on Gorillaz's new album 'The Mountain', due out on March 20, 2026. The Mountain will be Gorillaz's first release on their own KONG label.

The first show at the Copper Box Arena in London saw Gorillaz perform their self-titled debut in full. Damon Albarn was joined by the London Arab Orchestra, Yasiin Bey, and more during the show. Over 150 artists and cultural figures came together for the event, which was organised by Brian Eno.

Other artists who performed at the concert but were not mentioned as collaborating specifically with Damon Albarn and others include Bastille, James Blake, Paloma Faith, Jamie xx, PinkPantheress, Celeste, Leigh-Anne, Elyanna, Saint Levant, El Far3i, Rina Sawayama, Riz Ahmed, Jameela Jamil, Louis Theroux, Ramy Youssef, Benedict Cumberbatch, Guy Pearce, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos. Portishead contributed a pre-recorded performance without direct collaboration on stage with Damon Albarn.

Stephen Kapos, a Holocaust survivor, spoke at the show, expressing his commitment to the Palestinian people and their struggle for freedom, justice, and return. Gorillaz surprised audiences with 'The Fall' tracks 'Phoner To Arizona' and 'California And The Slipping Of The Sun' live for the first time ever during the encore of the third show.

In addition to the UK tour, Gorillaz will be releasing 'The Mountain', which includes collaborations with Sparks, Gruff Rhys, IDLES' Joe Talbot, Johnny Marr, and more. 'Double Bass' and 'Ghost Train' were played live for the first time ever at the first show.

The 'Together For Palestine' concert was a powerful demonstration of the music industry's support for a cause close to many hearts. With the release of 'The Mountain' and the upcoming UK tour, Gorillaz are set to continue their musical journey, bringing their unique blend of genres and collaborations to fans around the world.
