Cat Stevens' North American Book Tour Postponed Due to Visa Issues

Cat Stevens, now known as Yusuf, has postponed the North American leg of his book tour due to visa issues. The tour, set to be a 'portal' into Stevens' universe, was to feature in-depth conversations about his memoir and acoustic performances. Fans who had bought tickets and made travel plans were disappointed, but the book release 'Cat on the Road to Findout' remains unaffected.

Stevens, who began the tour in the UK in September, had hoped fans could join the 'Peace Train' route in the future. The tour was initially set to start on October 2 in Philadelphia, with various stops scheduled across the US for the rest of the month. However, visa issues impacted the plans. Stevens' team waited months for visa approvals, but production logistics could not be arranged in time. The tour's October 8 stop in Toronto, Canada was also postponed.

Visa issues have been affecting international musicians and athletes recently, with increased fees and slower processing times. Stevens expressed his disappointment and apologized to fans who had bought tickets and made travel plans. If visas are approved, the tour could be rescheduled, but new dates would be some time away.
