Cast Your Vote in the SBE National Election Ballot
The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) has commenced the voting process for its annual election of national officers and half of the board of directors. This year's election promises an exciting race, with several candidates vying for various positions.
The election, which runs from July 14 to August 13, 2025, sees one candidate each for the posts of vice-president and secretary. Notably, Vice President Kevin Trueblood is the sole candidate running to succeed President Ted Hand, who will complete his term this fall.
The contest for the treasurer's position, however, is more competitive, with no less than 10 candidates in the running.
Members have been provided with a unique link for electronic voting via email. Those who have opted out of electronic voting will receive a ballot in the mail.
To provide a detailed opportunity to meet the candidates, the SBE held a WEBxtra webcast on July 14, 2025, featuring presentations from all candidates running for national offices and board positions. The candidates' introductions and election details were also shared during the webcast.
For the full slate of candidates, members are encouraged to check their email for their official ballots and candidate information. The exact names and positions each candidate is running for can be found in the SBE member email ballot or on the society's website.
The election for six seats on the board of directors is also part of this year's vote. Members are urged to exercise their right to vote and help shape the future of the Society of Broadcast Engineers by August 14, 2025.
