The Gia Bảo Corporation Joint Stock Company (Gia Bảo CJSC) has made a significant stride in the Vietnamese cashew industry with the inauguration of its new Bà Tư Bình Phước Agricultural and Food Processing Factory in Đông Nai Province on September 19.

The factory, located in Đông Tâm Commune, has a designed capacity of 4,000 tonnes a year and aims to strengthen Việt Nam's cashew industry and raise the value of farm produce. The first phase of the factory was completed in just nine months.

The opening of the factory advances Gia Bảo CJSC's 3F (Farm-Factory-Food) ecosystem strategy, which aims to add value to agricultural products and meet growing domestic and global demand.

At the event, Gia Bảo CJSC chairman Trần Văn Sơn stated that the factory will open green horizons for Đông Nai and rural communities nationwide. Vice chairwoman of Bình Phước Ward's People's Committee Hoàng Thuý Vũ also highlighted that the project reflects local support for enterprises.

The factory's processes include semi-manual roasting, oil-free processing, and the production of products like cashew milk and snacks. It will also process cashews, macadamia nuts, and other nutrient-rich products.

Gia Bảo CJSC has affirmed its role in processing and exporting cashews and other farm produce. To boost exports to Taiwan and Southeast Asia, the company signed a strategic partnership with Taiwan's GeDeng Company.

In addition to its industrial efforts, Gia Bảo CJSC introduced a community initiative, 'Livelihood under the Cashew Canopy,' in cooperation with the Việt Nam Food Bank Network and local partners. This project aims to expand nationwide, promoting intercropping, contract farming, organic practices, and cooperatives for sustainable livelihoods.

The 'Bà Tư Đông Nai Cashew Industrial Cluster' project, launched at the event, is expected to create jobs and enhance the processing quality of agricultural products. The factory's opening was covered by the company's photos, marking a milestone in Gia Bảo CJSC's journey towards strengthening Vietnam's agricultural industry.
