In the world of editorial cartooning, Joe Heller stands out as a remarkable figure. Based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Heller is the most successful self-syndicated editorial cartoonist in the nation, with his work reaching over 400 newspapers across the country through his syndicate, Heller Syndication.

Heller's career in cartooning began in 1985 when he became the editorial cartoonist for the Green Bay Press-Gazette. He held this position until July 2013, when he was laid off. However, this did not deter Heller from continuing his passion. He established Heller Syndication and has been distributing his cartoons through this platform ever since.

Heller's cartoons are widely reprinted in various publications, including USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and many more. His work has also been featured in international publications such as Newsweek Japan and The Week.

Heller's talent and dedication have been recognised with numerous awards. He has won 10 Best of Gannett awards, eight Milwaukee Press Club awards, and two Honorable mentions for the John Fischetti Award. His cartoons are regularly reprinted in local publications like the NKyTribune.

Despite being laid off, Heller continues to draw several cartoons a week. He resides in Green Bay with his wife, Pamela. Heller's work is a testament to his resilience and dedication to his craft.

It's important to note that Joe Heller is distinct from Joseph Heller, the American author of Catch-22; these are two different individuals with unrelated fields.
