Cartoon Series Looney Tunes Spared from Cancellation on Max Platform

In a recent turn of events, it appears that the initial listing of Looney Tunes leaving the streaming platform Max was made in error. The beloved animated series, which has been a staple of Warner Bros. for decades, will continue to stream on Max.

Max's library includes a vast collection of Looney Tunes content, including classic shorts that date back to the 1930s, spanning across 15 seasons. The Looney Tunes Show, which aired from 2011-2012, and Tiny Toons Looniversity, another current series featuring Looney Tunes characters, are also part of Max's library.

Fans of Looney Tunes were dismayed to see the initial listing of the series leaving the platform. However, the revised email from Max clarified that Looney Tunes was not leaving the platform after all. Coyote vs. Acme, a popular series, is now seeking distribution elsewhere.

Recently, Warner Bros. shelved the completed feature Coyote vs. Acme. The reason for this decision is not clear, but it seems to be part of a broader content realignment following changes in streaming rights and strategy by Warner Bros Discovery.

The removal of classic Looney Tunes shorts from Max and their migration to the free streaming service Tubi has caused some confusion among Max subscribers. However, it is important to note that not all Looney Tunes content has left Max. The status of Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), a heist comedy featuring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, is not clearly stated but is likely still on Max or not officially removed.

In summary, classic Looney Tunes shorts have mostly migrated to Tubi, but some Looney Tunes content remains available on Max, including newer series and movies. Reports that Looney Tunes as a whole was leaving Max were partly erroneous. Bugs Bunny Builders, a current series available on Max, also features Looney Tunes characters. Max subscribers can rest assured that their favourite Looney Tunes content will continue to be available on the platform.
