Cars once again traveled on the M-4 "Don" highway past Goryachy Klych following a local gathering.

The M-4 Don highway, a major route leading to the Black Sea, has been experiencing some disruptions due to recent weather conditions and incidents.

Heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 25 meters per second, have been forecasted for today in the Krasnodar Region, according to the regional Hydrometeorological Center. These weather conditions may potentially cause further issues on the highway.

Previously, a landslide had caused traffic congestion on a 1414 km stretch of the highway towards the Black Sea, with traffic being routed along a single lane. However, the Krasnodar Regional Operational Headquarters has reported the restoration of traffic through the Moldavanka pass on the federal M-4 "Don" highway.

As of now, buses and light vehicles are moving normally on the highway from Novorossiysk towards Gelendzhik. However, a temporary restriction on truck traffic from Novorossiysk towards Gelendzhik remains in place. It is important to note that there are no specific, up-to-date reports available regarding the current traffic conditions on the M-4 Don highway following the lifting of truck traffic restrictions.

Elsewhere, massive traffic jams have formed on the M-4 "Don" highway near Goryachy Klyuch and on the Djubga-Sochi highway in Tuapse District. Additionally, there is a risk of waterspouts forming over the Black Sea near the region's coast.

To address the landslide-induced disruption, "Avtodor" equipment was used to quickly clear the road of mud and debris, enabling the restoration of traffic through the Moldavanka pass in both directions.

For real-time and precise traffic conditions, local traffic management authorities or regional transportation departments would be the most reliable sources. It is advisable to check their updates regularly to ensure a smooth journey.

A storm warning is in effect in the Krasnodar Region until the end of July 4. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations to ensure safety during these adverse weather conditions.

Given the impending severe weather conditions and previous incidents, it's crucial to keep an eye on the sports schedule for events along the M-4 Don highway, as sudden closures or delays could occur. The heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds forecasted may also impact outdoor sports activities in the Krasnodar Region.
