Carolina Panthers’ 2025 Cup heroes receive rings with new team

Two former Carolina Panthers players have been honoured for their roles in the team’s 2025 Stanley Cup victory. Nate Schmidt and Vitek Vanecek received their championship rings in Utah, where they now play for the Mammoth. Both signed with the new club during the summer free agency period.

Schmidt and Vanecek were instrumental in the Panthers’ title-winning season. The defenceman contributed 12 points—three goals and nine assists—across 23 playoff matches, placing him second among the team’s blueliners. His performance included three key goals in the first-round series against Tampa Bay.

The pair now represent the Mammoth after their summer transfer. Their contributions to Carolina’s historic win remain a highlight of their careers. The championship rings serve as recognition of their efforts in securing the 2025 Stanley Cup.
