Carolina Hurricanes recall defenseman Domenick Fensore from AHL affiliate
The Carolina Hurricanes have recalled defenseman Domenick Fensore from their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. The move comes as the 23-year-old continues to impress in the minors, building on his strong start to the 2024-25 campaign. Fensore, a third-round pick in 2019, now gets another chance to prove himself at the NHL level.
Fensore was originally drafted 90th overall by the Hurricanes in 2019. Before turning professional, he spent four seasons at Boston University, where he recorded 85 points (19 goals, 66 assists) in 122 games.
The recall gives Fensore another opportunity to showcase his skills in the NHL. His consistent production in the AHL suggests he could contribute to the Hurricanes’ defensive unit. The team will likely assess his performance in practice and potential game time moving forward.
