The Düsseldorf Carnival, a beloved event among the city's denizens and beyond, has garnered widespread acclaim, as per a survey carried out by Düsseldorf Marketing on behalf of the Committee Düsseldorf Carnival (CC). Check out their findings, unveiled just last week!

The results reveal that attendees of events like the 'kö-treiben' or the Rosenmontag parade are smitten with the carnival. With plans to keep raising the bar, the new board is keen on using these findings as a stepping stone for further professionalization.

Saturated Approval for Events and Political Satire

The survey evidence indicates that an astounding 90% of revelers at the 'kö-treiben' and Rosenmontag parade are beaming with satisfaction. And get this: the carnival has got more love than the Japan Day or the Christmas market! Yes, you read that right!

Nearly 9 out of 10 people also gave the thumbs up to their personal sense of security during the carnival events. This speaks volumes about the organizers' efforts to ensure safety. Moreover, over 70% of the crowd is clamoring for more satirical or socially critical elements that the Düsseldorf Carnival is known for! "Yee-haw!" laughs CC managing director Uwe Willer.

High International Interest

The Düsseldorf Carnival has made a splash globally, especially with the provocative float themes by float builder Jacques Tilly. Believe it or not, there were a staggering 500 reports in 67 countries, from the USA to Iran to South Korea! "Wow, really!" marvels Tilly.

But with great exposure comes critics aplenty. Tilly has received a slew of hate mail and threats as usual this year. Unfortunately, 27 criminal charges were filed against him due to his float themes, but all proceedings have since been dropped. "That's life," muses the float builder.

Actionable Insights for the Committee

The new board's primary ambitious was to gather insights and feedback on its strategy of professionalization and to evaluate novel initiatives from the recently concluded jubilee session. "Mmm, tasty feedback," drools Willer.

Analysis of mobile data revealed that approximately 2.1 million people descended upon the old town for the carnival proceedings this season. "Wow, what a turnout!" exclaims CC president Lothar Höhring.
