Carnegie's summer theatre season concludes with the staging of Grease from August 15th to the 24th.

The much-anticipated production of the classic rock 'n' roll musical, "Grease," is set to take the stage at The Carnegie in Covington, KY. This production, directed and choreographed by Eric Byrd, promises to showcase grit, glam, and youthful exuberance, set in the 1950s at Rydell High.

The story revolves around Danny and Sandy, two high school sweethearts navigating love, friendship, and high school trials. A notable cast member for this production is Paige Davis, a Broadway veteran and former host of TLC's Trading Spaces, who will be playing the role of English teacher Miss Lynch.

The cast also includes students and recent alumni from various universities, such as the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Otterbein University, Point Park University, Elon University, Xavier University, and Ohio Northern University.

The production features songs from the original stage production, including "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'," and "We Go Together," as well as numbers from the 1978 motion picture, like "Sandy," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "Grease," and "You're the One That I Want."

Matthew Umphreys, the founder and director of The Carnegie resident company Queen City Cabaret, is the music director for this production. Tickets for "Grease" can be purchased online at thecarnegie.com, by calling 859-957-1940, or in person from The Carnegie box office.
