Cargo-Partner Showcases One Road and Eco-friendliness at Transport Logistic 2025
In a significant move towards a greener future, logistics providers Cargo-Partner and Nippon Express are showcasing their joint project, "One Road," at the Transport Logistic 2025 trade fair in Munich. This initiative aims to integrate and decarbonize pan-European road freight transport, demonstrating advanced logistics solutions and climate-conscious practices.
The project focuses on integrating road freight transport across Europe, enabling better consolidation and optimization of shipments on a pan-European scale. A strong emphasis is placed on reducing carbon emissions by improving operational efficiencies and potentially using greener vehicle technologies.
Regional hubs in Vienna, Zory, Ljubljana, Zagreb, and Sofia are intended to ensure stability and flexibility in day-to-day operations. These hubs will facilitate route optimization and energy consumption management, contributing to lower emissions in road freight transport.
Cargo-Partner and Nippon Express leverage their extensive European locations and logistics facilities to establish a comprehensive network. The companies are presenting their jointly developed European transport network under the title One Road at Transport Logistic 2025.
Apart from emissions reduction, Cargo-Partner showcases its entire range of services, including air, sea, road, and rail transport, warehousing logistics, and industry-specific solutions. The company, which ranks among the top eight percent of rated companies worldwide by Ecovadis, has been awarded the silver medal by Ecovadis in 2025.
Cargo-Partner's booth can be found in Hall A4, Booth 319/420. Initial successes have been achieved in Italy, and further expansion steps in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom are in preparation.
Measures aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions include the use of alternative fuels such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Sustainable Marine Fuel (SMF), Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), electric trucks, and intermodal transport solutions. Cargo-Partner uses the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) standard and ISO-compliant methods for CO2e accounting.
The joint presentation focuses on integrated pan-European road freight transport and emission reduction measures across all modes of transport. The initiative aims to establish standardized procedures in road freight transport across national borders, aligning with both companies’ commitments to sustainability.
While specific technical or operational details of "One Road" at Transport Logistic 2025 are limited, both companies have shown strong commitments to sustainability and green logistics solutions in their separate initiatives. For instance, Nippon Express has introduced all-electric trucks in Shanghai with zero emissions and intelligent vehicle dispatch systems.
By showcasing "One Road" at Transport Logistic 2025, Cargo-Partner and Nippon Express are emphasizing their collaboration's innovation and sustainability agenda, setting a promising example for the logistics industry's future.
- Despite primarily focusing on the decarbonization of road freight transport, the joint project "One Road" also embraces green solutions in other modes of transport, as exhibited by the use of electric trucks by Nippon Express in Shanghai.
- As part of their sustainability and innovation agenda, Cargo-Partner and Nippon Express present the "One Road" project at Transport Logistic 2025, integrating sports-like competition ideologies in their objective to optimize and reduce emissions across pan-European road freight transport.
