Career retrospective The Next Ten Years unveiled by Frank Turner

Frank Turner has made a significant announcement, revealing plans for a new box set titled "The Next Ten Years" and a reunion tour with his former band, Million Dead.

The box set, set to be released on 7 November, will be a comprehensive collection of studio albums, B-sides, live sessions, rarities, covers, radio session tracks, acoustic renditions, and collaborations with artists such as Levellers and KT Tunstall. Tracks from albums like Positive Songs For Negative People, Be More Kind, No Man's Land, and FTHC will feature in the compilation.

In a recent statement, Turner expressed his desire to gather all his non-studio album music for a proper release, aiming to provide fans with a comprehensive overview of his musical journey over the past decade.

The compilation's announcement comes with the release of "Better Times Will Come," a cover of a song by US singer-songwriter Janis Ian, now available on vinyl. The release aims to spread the timely message of Better Times. Interestingly, Turner covered "Better Times Will Come" at the request of Janis Ian herself.

However, the tour with Million Dead is not included in the box set. This tour, scheduled for late 2025, marks the band's first tour in 20 years and is a significant event for alternative music fans. The upcoming tour is expected to have a different vibe compared to the Janis Ian cover.

The tour announcement has added to the excitement surrounding Frank Turner's musical projects. For the December 2025 UK tour with Million Dead, The Meffs will be the supporting act at the Cardiff show at Tramshed Cardiff on December 7, 2025. Information regarding support acts at other venues on this tour is yet to be announced.

It's important to note that the tour with Million Dead is part of Turner's career that predates his solo work. Million Dead was the hardcore band with whom Turner made his name. The tour is not related to the release of the "Better Times Will Come" single.

This news is undoubtedly exciting for fans of Frank Turner and Million Dead, as it promises a journey through a decade of music and a reunion of the band that launched Turner's career. Stay tuned for more updates on these anticipated events.
