Last weekend, a disastrous incident unfolded near Schliersee in the Miesbach district, resulting in a man's serious injuries. Responding promptly to the situation, fire and rescue services managed to extract the 60-year-old man from the severely damaged vehicle. The 58-year-old train driver, partly responsible for the incident, sustained only mild injuries.

The police disclosed that the driver had reportedly neglected to inspect for oncoming trains before proceeding.
