On Sunday morning, a traffic accident occurred on Cologne Street in Neunkirchen-Salchendorf. According to preliminary reports, a 74-year-old driver was waiting in a bus stop bay, heading towards Salchendorf.
The elderly driver, who was behind the wheel of an Audi, failed to notice an oncoming BMW in the opposite lane. In an attempt to reverse his car, he pulled out onto the road, resulting in a collision with the BMW, driven by a 62-year-old.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident. However, both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed away from the scene. The 74-year-old driver believed he was in the right, claiming that the BMW driver had been driving too fast. An emergency call was automatically triggered by one of the vehicles due to no response.
