The Kazakh Children's Wrestling Championship recently concluded at the Beeline Arena sports complex in Astana, marking the first time the event has been held in the capital city. The tournament, aimed at fulfilling the Head of State's directive on developing national sports, promoting Kazakh wrestling, and nurturing future champions from a young age, played a crucial role in selecting promising athletes for the national team's reserve.

Approximately 300 young wrestlers from various regions of the country participated in the event, which was held across 12 weight categories.

In the 32 kg category, Galymzhan Kakhultan from the Turkestan region emerged as the champion, while Orazbay Turghynbek from Mangistau region took second place. The third place was shared by Ersulтан Turmukhambet and Azamat Amanbek, both from Astana.

In the 42 kg category, Nurdaulet Bukharbay from Astana secured second place, with Aslan Abdynakul from Mangistau region taking the third spot.

The 38 kg category saw Nursultan Jumabek from Astana take third place, while Sayan Adiletuly from Kyzylorda region also claimed third place.

Arslanshak Bolt from Almaty finished as the runner-up in the 50 kg category.

In the 29 kg category, Amirlan Muratov from ZKO clinched the top spot, with Nurakhmet Zhaugashty from Astana coming in second. The third place was shared by Almat Batyrbek from Turkestan region and Aysultan Sagidolla from Aktau region.

The 65 kg category was won by Temirlan Serik from Turkestan region, with Eralan Abylkassym from the same region taking the top spot in the 65+ kg category. The 65 kg third place was shared by Elaman Arysbay from Astana city and Adil Tanibergen from Astana city.

The tournament emphasized the importance of both individual skill and team spirit, as evidenced by the Astana team's performance. The team won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals, securing second place in the overall team standings.
