Capitals Recall Ivan Miroshnichenko
The Washington Capitals have brought back forward Ivan Miroshnichenko from their AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears. The recall follows a strong run of form in which the young player posted six points in his last seven games.
His return comes after a productive stint in the minors, where he set new personal bests last season.
Miroshnichenko was loaned to Hershey on 6 October 2025. Since then, he has recorded nine points (four goals, five assists) in just 12 games. His recent surge includes three goals and three assists in his last seven appearances, dating back to 30 November.
The 2024-25 season saw him achieve career-high numbers in the AHL, with 23 goals, 19 assists, and 42 points overall. This performance earned him another opportunity with the Capitals. As part of the roster move, forward Bogdan Trineyev was sent down to Hershey in his place.
The recall marks Miroshnichenko’s latest chance to contribute at the NHL level. His recent scoring streak and past AHL success suggest he could provide an offensive boost. The Capitals will now look to integrate him into their lineup.
