In the early hours of May 24, Kyiv was struck by a destructive Russian attack, resulting in substantial damage and casualties across several districts. The affected areas include Dnipro, Solomianka, and Obolon, with numerous residential buildings facing extensive damage.

In the Solomianka district, a drone's debris caused a fifth-floor apartment fire, injuring seven individuals aged between 35 and 63. In the Dnipro district, a husband and wife, aged 40 and 41, were injured due to a fragment penetrating their fifth-floor apartment. The Obolon district's 9-story residential building suffered damage across four floors, resulting in five residents seeking medical attention. One additional injury was reported in the Holosiyiv district.

While specific casualty numbers for the aforementioned districts were not immediately available, overall, the attack left a trail of destruction, with countless missile and drone strikes impacting Kyiv. The city's emergency services were promptly dispatched to manage fires and assist with rescue efforts in the affected districts.
