Canyon introduces a fresh handlebar design and launch of the two new Grizl models.

Canyon, the German bike manufacturer, has unveiled an overhauled version of its popular Grizl gravel bike, now available in two models. The new line-up offers several key upgrades and options geared toward adventure gravel riding and versatility.

The new Canyon Grizl models feature a robust carbon frameset, thicker tube reinforcements, and extensive factory-installed protection stickers to handle off-road abuse. One of the standout features is the increased tyre clearance of 54mm, accommodating wide tyres for more technical terrain. The frame is highly versatile, with multiple mounts for bottle cages, top tube bag mounts, front and rear racks, fenders, and anything-forks mounts.

Some models come with Canyon's new ECLIPS power system, a fully integrated off-grid solution for adventure rides. This system includes a dynamo-powered lighting setup, a 3500mAh power bank for backup, and USB-C charging for devices. The lighting is provided by a Lupine Nano SL front light and a C14 rear light, both STVZO-approved.

The new Grizl models also feature a suspension fork with a bar-mounted remote lockout, internal cable routing, and a series of lowrider mounts rated for 3kg per side. The geometry has been slightly slacked for improved off-road capability and comfort, with a 71° head tube angle, 56mm fork offset, and a longer wheelbase.

The line splits into the Grizl OG and Grizl Escape, both based on a redesigned carbon frame. The Grizl OG is a do-it-all gravel bike for single-day adventures, weekend rides, and general-purpose mixed-surface fun. On the other hand, the Grizl Escape is aimed at ultra-distance riders and bikepackers, with more relaxed gearing, bigger load capacity, and a wild cockpit.

The new Grizl models are front and rear rack compatible, a first for Canyon on carbon frames. They also offer a unique handlebar setup, the Full Mounty cockpit, which provides enhanced comfort and customization with cocktail bags, aero extensions, and clip-on cargo mounts for bags, bottles, and more.

The range starts at € 2,399 / £ 2,249 / $ 2,799 for the GRIZL CF 6 and goes up to € 7,999 / £ 7,449 for the GRIZL CF 9, which comes with a SRAM Red AXS groupset and the ECLIPS lighting system. The new line is set to be available from the Canyon website starting 1 July 2025.

With its adventure-ready carbon frame, extensive mounting options, comfort- and cargo-focused Full Mounty cockpit, wide tire clearance, and versatile gearing choices, the new Canyon Grizl is a highly customizable and capable bike for riders seeking an all-terrain, all-day adventure machine.

The new Canyon Grizl models cater to sports enthusiasts with their robust carbon framesets and wide tire clearance, ensuring superior handling on technical terrain. Some of these models come equipped with Canyon's new ECLIPS power system, offering an off-grid solution for extended adventure rides.
