Candidates eyeing the leadership position at the Bergring Club

The Teterow Motorsport Club, renowned for its historic Bergring race, is facing a significant turning point. On October 10, members will meet for a crucial meeting that could shape the club's future.

The meeting is of utmost importance due to the transfer of organization and the upcoming elections. The transfer, driven by personnel and financial shortages, has led to the ADAC taking charge of both the Bergring race and the Auerhahn Cup.

The focus of the October 10 meeting will be on the ADAC's proposed 'Hansa' concept for the Bergring race, as well as the election of a new chairman. Five candidates - Andreas Mieser, Claudia Peters, Andreas Stange, Krystin Winkler, and Christoph Wilken - have applied for the position. The election will take place during the meeting.

In addition to the chairman's role, the position of sports director also needs to be filled. Interestingly, four out of the five chairman candidates have expressed their intention to also run for the sports director position.

The 'Restart Group', a faction within the club, has submitted several motions for the meeting. These include proposals for electing a new board and a plan to realign the club to ensure its future-proofing.

The 'Restart Group' advocates for a fundamental change in the club, aiming to revitalise its operations and secure its long-term success. Their concept will be presented at the meeting.

The race for the Auerhahn Cup at Pentecost 2026 is also on the agenda, adding another layer of excitement to the already significant meeting.

It is important to note that the application deadline for both the chairmanship and the sports director position has not yet expired, leaving room for further candidatures.

The ADAC's involvement in the club's future, through the transfer of organization of races, is a significant development. The upcoming members' meeting on October 10 is likely to be decisive, considering the ADAC's role and the elections.

As the Teterow Motorsport Club stands on the brink of change, the meeting on October 10 promises to be an exciting and pivotal event in the club's history. Stay tuned for updates.
