Canadiens crushed 7-2 by Avalanche in Colorado’s dominant display

The Montreal Canadiens suffered a heavy defeat on Saturday, falling 7-2 to the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena. Despite goals from Ivan Demidov and Lane Hutson, the team struggled to contain their opponents.

The Avalanche dominated early, building a lead that the Montreal team could not overcome. Demidov and Hutson found the net, but Colorado’s attack proved too strong. Juraj Slafkovsky, Cole Caufield, and Nick Suzuki each contributed assists, yet the defensive effort faltered under pressure.

The Canadiens will look to regroup after Saturday’s defeat. Their next challenge arrives quickly, with two home games in two nights, starting against Ottawa. The team’s performance in these matches will determine whether they can bounce back from the loss in Colorado.
