Camogie All-Stars nominees heavily favor Galway and Cork

Galway and Cork's Camogie teams lead the 2025 PwC All-Stars Awards nominations, boasting 11 and 10 nominees respectively, with the victorious Galway ladies and the defeated Cork team both prominently featured.

Camogie All-Stars nominees heavily favor Galway and Cork

The Camogie Association has unveiled the nominees for the 2025 PwC Camogie All-Stars Awards, with a total of 55 players from various counties vying for the prestigious accolades. The awards ceremony, scheduled for 15 November in Croke Park, promises to be a night of celebration for the camogie community.

The nominees for the Goalkeeper of the Year award include Sarah Healy (Galway), Amy Lee (Cork), and Brianna O'Regan (Waterford). In the Forwards position, Carrie Dolan (Galway), Róisín Howard (Tipperary), Emma Murphy (Cork), Orlaith Cahalane (Cork), Niamh Mallon (Galway), Ailish O'Reilly (Galway), Katrina Mackey (Cork), Beth Carton (Waterford), Abby Flynn (Waterford), and Niamh Rockett (Waterford) are in contention.

The Midfield position sees nominations for Laura Greene (Kilkenny), Karen Kennedy (Tipperary), Ashling Thompson (Cork), Aoife Donohue (Galway), and Lorraine Bray (Waterford). The Back position features a formidable lineup of Róisín Black (Galway), Karin Blair (Tipperary), Méabh Cahalane (Cork), Libby Coppinger (Cork), Mairead Eviston (Tipperary), Vikki Falconer (Waterford), Rachael Hanniffy (Galway), Laura Hayes (Cork), Shauna Healy (Galway), Clare Hehir (Clare), Ciara Hickey (Galway), Dervla Higgins (Galway), Laura Murphy (Kilkenny), and Laura Treacy (Cork).

Kilkenny, Galway, and Cork have received the most nominations, with 11, 10, and 10 nominees respectively. Waterford and Tipperary follow closely with 6 and 5 nominees each. Notably, Kilkenny and Galway have also been named as the recipients of the most awards, alongside the host county, Cork.

The Junior Player of the Year nominees include Clodagh Tynan (Laois), Gráinne Delaney (Laois), Aimee Collier (Laois), Orlagh Phelan (Offaly), and Grace Teehan (Offaly).

Saoirse McCarthy (Cork) has been nominated in the Forwards position and is also a contender for the Camogie Senior Player of the Year award. She shares this nomination with Aoife Donohue (Galway), who is also up for Player of the Year in the Midfield position. The Player of the Year nominees also include Dervla Higgins (Galway).

Brian Molloy, the Camogie Association president, extended his congratulations to all the players nominated for the 2025 PwC Camogie All-Stars Awards. The eagerly awaited awards ceremony on 15 November in Croke Park is set to be a memorable event in the camogie calendar.
