Tired of crowded tourist destinations in California? Santa Maria Valley might just be the answer for budget-friendly travelers looking for a pleasant getaway. Three town officials, aiming to help local businesses, have devised a unique program – "Visit Santa Maria Valley."

The program encourages visitors by offering a $100 discount on travel expenses, including accommodation costs of at least two nights in local hotels. Tourists can redeem this voucher at wineries, breweries, and restaurants across the region. The promotion runs from February 4 to March 31, and Santa Maria Valley, located approximately 65 miles north of Santa Barbara, touts its budget-friendly appeal with the same quality attractions as popular travel destinations in the Golden State, but at lower prices.

Santa Maria Valley's Tourism Director Jennifer Harrison told CNN that the area is "full of beautiful beaches, great hotels, and wonderful vineyards," fitting the bill for cost-conscious travelers seeking to rejuvenate once the economy recovers.

Visitors can check out eight beaches and 34 wine tasting rooms, all within a 30-minute drive. Besides relaxing at the beach, you can enjoy activities like hiking, golfing, and bird watching. To ensure safety, the city is committed to maintaining CDC protocols, and since it's less crowded, adhering to social distancing guidelines is easier. Santa Maria Valley's remote location also makes it a more attractive choice for those traveling by car rather than air.

In perfect alignment with the initiative, Yelp's recent business report revealed that smaller towns heavily dependent on tourism are particularly impacted by the pandemic. Restaurants, hotels, and attractions in Santa Maria Valley have teamed up to establish health and safety protocols, allowing tourists to safely explore and experience the area's wonders.

Supporting Santa Maria Valley's local businesses, the "Visit Santa Maria Valley" program provides budget-conscious travelers the opportunity to experience beautiful beaches, hotels, and vineyards at unbeatable prices. With safe health and safety protocols, you can explore the region at your own pace, creating unforgettable memories while directly contributing to its economy.
