Caddie Bill Harke and golfer Max Homa have ended their partnership, as per reports, after a brief two-month tenure.

Max Homa's latest caddie drama unfolded not too long ago, as the golfer confirmed his split with Bill Harke mere months after hiring him. This came after Homa's failed attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open at Oakmont.

Doug Ferguson of the Associated Press was the first to report on the unexpected breakup. An anonymous source revealed the news, stating that Harke had lost his job and the details were not made public until Homa had a chance to speak about it himself.

However, in the wake of his emotional US Open failure, Homa walked away from reporters' questions, instead focusing on discussing his golf game. His performance was impressive, given he carried his own bag for the entire day, a task he admitted left him a bit exhausted.

The absence of a caddie meant Homa had to rely solely on himself for emotional support and strategic advice, though he admitted he might benefit from being on his own in some ways. In fact, he seemed to find the solitude therapeutic, as he battled his own demons during the grueling day at Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, Ohio.

So far, there's no official word on who will replace Harke as Homa's looper. The golfer's next chance to secure a spot at the U.S. Open is by winning the RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour, but he'll need to significantly improve his current world ranking of 90 to make that happen.

In a surprising turn of events, it appears Tiger Woods' former caddie, Lance Bennett, will be joining Homa for the Canadian Open. Bennett had recently worked with Michael Thorbjornsen but was replaced by JJ Jakovac, who, coincidentally, is now working for Collin Morikawa – the same golfer who recently hired Homa's former caddie, Joe Greiner.

Homa might be considering hiring Lance Bennett, Tiger Woods' former caddie, for the upcoming RBC Canadian Open, as Bennett is reportedly joining Homa's team. This possibility arises amidst Homa's search for a replacement for his former caddie, Bill Harke, who was recently let go.
