Unidentified individuals breached a former central warehouse's transformer room, yanking out fuses from switch cabinets for unknown purposes, likely intending to sell the cables on the black market. This audacious move led to temporary power outages in two streets and disrupted the street lighting, causing a minor inconvenience for residents.
The electricity supplier's employee, called to the scene, discovered the break-in and alerted the authorities. The crooks, however, did not manage to make off with any loot, according to the police statement. They are now hunting for witnesses to gather more information about the incident.
