According to a report filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, this Shenzhen-based company has had a whopping 33% increase in its net profit for last year, raking in an impressive 40.3 billion yuan (approximately 5.1 billion euros).

Revenue followed suit, surging by 29% to approximately 99 billion euros. Not too shabby for a company that moved 4.25 million vehicles off the lot, boasting 1.76 million of those as pure electric vehicles (PEVs). In the early months of 2024, they even managed to edge out Tesla in terms of revenue. Despite Tesla leading in worldwide sales of PEVs with 1.79 million units in 2024, BYD has taken the revenue crown from the US titan.

This powerhouse also manufactures battery storage systems and recently introduced a lightning-fast charging system for its EVs. This system can charge the battery for a range of 400 kilometers in just five minutes! On top of that, BYD is rolling out advanced driver assistance systems in their more affordable models. The Hong Kong-listed stock has already seen a skyrocket in value, climbing approximately 50% this year.
