Busy Day in Überlingen: Accident, Fraud, and Fire Reported

A busy day in Überlingen and surrounding areas saw a road accident, a fraud incident involving a local realtor, and a fire caused by a suspected technical fault. No injuries were reported, but property damage was significant.

The day's events began with a road accident in Überlingen. A 62-year-old driver attempted to turn left into Adenauerstraße in a Škoda, but collided with an oncoming Opel. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

In a separate incident, a local realtor at a gas station fell victim to a gift card scam. The scammer convinced the realtor to reveal gift card numbers and withdraw cash to purchase more cards, resulting in a loss of around €1,500.

Later, a suspected technical defect in a robotic lawnmower sparked a fire in Überlingen-Bambergen. The owner's initial efforts and the fire department's quick response prevented further spread, containing the damage to property only.

Oberteuringen also experienced a traffic accident, leaving two vehicles damaged and total property damage estimated at around €20,000.

Police are now investigating the commercial fraud case and urge the public to be cautious, advising against disclosing valuable information over the phone. Despite the incidents, no injuries were reported, and authorities are working to ensure the safety of the community.
