The festival is the brainchild of Ekaterina Porizko, a musicologist and composer who has studied in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Zurich, Switzerland. She is currently enrolled at the University of the Arts in Zurich, focusing on orchestral conducting.

Ekaterina Porizko serves as the cantor of the Evangelical Church in Meerbusch and has been instrumental in organizing this event. The Evangelical Church Community of Büdrich and the city of Meerbusch are the organizers of the festival, which will take place under the patronage of Mayor Christian Bommers.

The Open-Air Music Festival in Meerbusch promises to be a cultural extravaganza, with 50 outdoor concerts at various locations throughout the city. Performers can register by filling out the registration form, with the deadline set for March 4th, 2022.

In addition to the series of outdoor concerts, the festival will feature an ecumenical service with various choirs of the city, followed by a performance of a work by the Russian composer Konstantin Schenikov for rock band and orchestra. The event will culminate in a firework of opera arias.
