In the early hours of July 4, 2025, a Flixbus traveling from Copenhagen, Denmark to Vienna, Austria, skidded off the A19 motorway near Röbel in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, and overturned. The accident resulted in more than 30 injuries, with one passenger seriously hurt.

Emergency services, including the fire brigade and a rescue helicopter, responded promptly to the scene. It took approximately two hours to extract the seriously injured victim. The accident site was sealed off for the morning to facilitate rescue and investigation efforts.

The Indian national resident in Copenhagen, who was airlifted to Berlin for emergency surgery after being trapped in the vehicle for two hours, is now stable. None of the injured are in critical condition. Injuries were treated at nearby hospitals based on severity.

The accident involved 56 people, including 54 passengers and 2 drivers. The estimated damage from the bus accident is around 500,000 euros. It's worth noting that this damage estimate includes potential highway damage.

This incident comes shortly after another bus accident occurred on the A11 in northeastern Brandenburg in January, resulting in two fatalities.

Flixbus has arranged a replacement bus for the passengers and has assured that their well-being is their top priority. The company is also in close contact with the police and relevant local authorities to determine the cause of the accident.
